The Appraisal Section Manager is responsible for managing the Appraisal Section including the supervision of the professional staff; the preparation of valuation and evaluation reports as defined; the preparation of economic studies of the short and long-range economic development of State Trust lands; the training and professional staff development; the implementation of rules, policies and procedures for section related issues; the review of valuation and evaluation contracts awarded to independent real estate consultants to ensure the accurate, timely and effective completion of assignments in accordance with the scope of work; testifying before the Board of Appeals and defending the appraisals, and providing recommendations to the Commissioner relative to disposition alternatives and/or specific elements of each disposition.
