Jefferson County Assessor’s Office is searching for an individual to join the Commercial Appraisal team.

The Commercial Appraiser performs complex technical work in appraising real estate for property tax purposes, which includes inspecting and measuring property to determine classification, gathering information about the property from owners, and developing valuation models using numerous approaches. Additionally, the Commercial Appraiser will perform market research and data analysis, appraise fire damage, demolitions, and determine obsolescence of property. This full time position will be with the Right of Way Unit in Region 1 at Federal and Colfax in Denver. Primary responsibilities include performing eminent domain appraisals, performing reviews of eminent domain appraisals, contracting for appraisal services, providing valuation support for appraisal waivers or litigation and serving as a resource for guidance, oversight, and quality control for local public agencies.
